For cabling, CPR introduces new fire safety classifications and requires that all cables marketed in European Economic Area (EEA) to carry a CE mark and have a declaration of performance (DOP). The CE mark indicates the specific fire performance level that the cable has been verified to provide.
Starting 1 July 2017, manufacturers cannot supply cables unless they have been tested, certified, and marked in accordance with the CPR standards. We’re dedicated to meeting regional CPR requirements.

In the past, cable systems were built depending on the manufacturer and type of communication devices or information protocol. They allowed users to operate IT systems (data network, telecommunications, control systems, etc.) on a cable system that was upgraded for several times. Depending on the type of upgrades, over time, many different types of wiring and connections appear in the cable system, resulting in lack of clarity, incompatibilities, confusion and unsolvable problems in the transition to more sophisticated communications technologies dictated by the development of IT and telecommunications.

The answer to these problems is offered in the standardization of all the building blocks that make up information communication systems. The construction and testing of cable infrastructure for a single campus or group of combined facilities (Campus) is prescribed by international standards (ISO 11801, EIA / TIA 568, EN 50173, IEEE 802.3, ATM Forum…) that set requirements for a modern communications system:

  • A cable system independent of the application.
  • Compliance of all components of a cable system.
  • System design capability before specific user requirements are known.
  • Simple and economical modification of the system design and adaptation of the system to the specific requirements of the user.
  • Development of future applications based on support for modern applications.

At the passive equipment level, the standard prescribes cable infrastructure in the form of a structured universal cable system. The topology of the structured cable system is implemented in the form of a star and offers the user high flexibility and usability for various applications (data transmissions, telecommunications, control systems, video and more).

As a rule, the cable subsystem of backbone connections between buildings runs from the central node to the main communication nodes of the individual sites. Fiber optic cables and multi-pair telecommunication cables for outdoor installation are used for interconnections.

The cable subsystem of backbone connections in a building connects the communication nodes of the individual floors to the main communication node of the building. The connections between the node panels are usually made with fiber optic cables and copper twisted pair cables (Cat8, Cat7 or Cat6A) and multi-pair telecommunication cables.

The horizontal cable subsystem connects workplace outlets to the panels in the communication rakcs. Copper cables with twisted pairs are used, which are terminated on panels and outlets and form a communication network. The floor communication node represents the accessible level of the IT network at which users enter the network. Higher data rates require higher category copper cables (Cat 8, Cat7, Cat6A, Cat6) or fiber optic cables.
